Terrarium-making workshop

Greenhouse Design Space

Project SparkL tied up with Greenhouse Design Space, a destination garden store that curates and commissions unique garden and home decor products. Their mantra of handmade, sustainable and eco-friendly is in line with our values of environmental consciousness. We  collaborated with them on a 3-hour sealed terrarium workshop and kokedama workshop that was very well-received.

We had conducted a Sealed Terrarium workshop by Greenhouse Designspace Bangalore in September 2022 and even the Trustees participated very enthusiastically. Somehow, lately my green fingers had turned brown and most of my potted plants were npt surviving for long. But the Terrarium really flourished. I just loved putting it together in the bottle and looking at it every day, makes me so happy.

Thank you, Dileep and Lakshman, for the workshop. My terrarium is doing so well, although it is sealed in a jar, that the other plants developed a complex and are now struggling to keep up!

Upcycling project

Astu Eco

Astu Eco is a company focused on creating products that are non toxic, biodegradable, compostable, chemical free and safer for man, animal and earth. Their aim is to combat single use plastics in as many ways as is possible. Textile waste from the fashion industry is another big environmental concern.

Project SparkL tied up with Astu Eco to collaborate on a saree upcycling project. In exchange for a well-loved but unused saree from their wardrobe, and a small contribution, women could take home a goody bag with 15 lifestyle products such as runners, table mats, wine bags etc. The generous contribution supported the cause of Project SparkL.
