Roopashri Sanjay
President
Roopa has a background in Microbiology and Marketing Management, and ran a play home and weekend activities for young children for over 7 years in Bangalore.
She also has a certification in Montessori methods which introduced her to multiple intelligences and creative methods for enhancing skills in children. She is also a Partner in her family-run Triumph automobile dealership and heads HR and Administration.
Deepa Krishnananda
Secretary
Deepa's mission is to sensitize people and teachers about the need to be empathetic towards children, especially the ones who need extra support.
She has expertise in psychological counselling, inclusive education, and learning disabilities. She has been a course coordinator and teacher for the past 12 years.
Dr. Anna Mammen
Treasurer
Anna has an MDS degree in Prosthodontics and has been successfully practising dentistry for the past 32 years in Bangalore.
Like her father, she has always been passionate about educating underprivileged children by providing them the right skills. She strongly believes that is how these children will become successful adults.
Meenakshi Sanghi
Public Relations
Meenakshi has a degree in Microbiology and a Masters in Management. In her initial career, she worked in Retail Lending and Marketing Communications.
She is a Celta-certified English teacher by vocation, and has volunteering experience in teaching English at an NGO for low-income women in Singapore. She has also trained teachers to teach English.
Smita Kalappa
Advisor
Smita has over three decades of experience in the development sector in resource generation, capacity building, programs, events and administration.
Having held senior positions in national-level organizations like HelpAge India and Smile Foundation, she has taken on the role of an Advisor to grassroots Nonprofits.
Smita has a Masters degree in English Literature and a Bachelors in Science.
Kavitha D Talera
Development Head
Kavitha brings in substantial entrepreneurial and social work experience. She is the co-director of Mysore Saree Udyog LLP. She founded Gyachi, an accessories brand of MSU. She is also the co director of Melange and Melange Astris, luxury serviced apartments.
In her volunteering roles, she has worked with women from slums, helping them to be self-employed. She has also taught basic Math to ragpickers. Her experience with children includes working in play schools and anganwadi centres. Kavitha is a Bachelor of Science graduate (Home Science) and a certified yoga instructor.
